• Modelling Issues with Culverts in MIKE 21

Dear MIKE Forum,

I am having issues modelling culverts into my MIKE 21 simulation.

I have inputted a culvert through a railway embankment, however the results do not show the water flowing through the culvert, instead the water continues to build up behind the rail embankment, thus the rail embankment still acting as levee.

I have inputted the location so that the cross section is spread over two cells, the culvert is circular and I have chosen a closed  section type.

Has someone come across this problem before.

• Isolated Source for model

I want to add isolated source into Flow model. I have hydrograph with discharge values (cu.m./s), it only allows me to use velocity (m/s). How can I get velocity time series from my hydrograph when the area is changing depending on the water level...?

Thanks for help.
• Blow-up messages

Hi,

I got blow-up message which stopped my simulation.

---------- B L O W  -  U P  detected ---
** Very high water level ,near:  158  669 of area no.    1 **
Error number:  -24
Job terminates.

When I got to the actual cell (158,669) the water level is only about 50mm so I don't understand why it stopped. Other cells in this area are not really flooded either, all with relatively low water level. Other cells in the model are flooded much more (up to 12m) and are running fine.

Can you please help me to fix this?

Thanks!
• Re: MIKE 21 Abnormal completion due No. of points exceeded for demo-version

Thank you Christian

I am just re-simulating the M21 model with inland checked.

Thank you for your help.

• MIKE 21 Abnormal completion due No. of points exceeded for demo-version

Hi,

I have just received the following error message in my MIKE 21 simulation, abnormal completion due No. of points exceeded for demo-version.  However I not using demo version, I have checked other simulations and they are working for me.

Can someone please help me, I believe its an error with the inlet boundary but I can't seem to fix the problem.

Thank you.
